Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password, account preferences, and the messages you send to AI companions.
We may also collect basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and reliable, such as device, browser, and usage data.
Product analytics
We use random first-party browser and visit identifiers to measure page categories visited, chat milestones, upgrade steps, and errors. Our private admin dashboard contains aggregate usage statistics, not chat text, image prompts, generated images, emails, or recordings of your screen. Browser identifiers expire after 90 days; visits expire after 30 minutes without tracked activity. Analytics respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Clearing site cookies resets the browser identifier.
How we use information
We use your information to operate GoonChat, authenticate your account, deliver AI responses, maintain conversation history and memory features, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the experience. We do not sell your personal information.
Chats and character memory
Your messages are processed to generate replies and may be retained so conversations can continue coherently. Conversation history belongs to your account and is not displayed publicly unless you deliberately use a sharing feature.
Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect stored information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and keep your account credentials private.
Service providers
We use service providers such as OpenRouter for AI responses, Stripe for payments, and Resend for transactional email. We share only the information reasonably necessary for them to provide those services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Your choices and rights
You can update account information or request account deletion from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information.
Age requirement
GoonChat is for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above.
